For certain routers, like Linksys and Netgear, you may need to install specific open-source firmware — such as DD-WRT or FreshTomato — to make your router compatible. Step 1: Subscribe to Hotspot Shield Premium

Step 2: Check if you have a compatible router

Step 3: Sign-in to your Hotspot Shield Premium account page and get your router VPN file and credentials

Step 4: Go to your router’s control panel and activate VPN

Step 5: You’re all set! All the devices connected to your Wi-Fi network are now protected by Hotspot Shield VPN
