Nowruz Mobarak: Celebrating the Iranian new year

Nowruz, Iran’s new year, turns over a blank page, brings about new opportunities, and offers a time to connect with friends, family, and loved ones—whether you’re at home in Iran or anywhere else in the world.

It remains a time to celebrate, to be at one with your roots. And we at Hotspot Shield—a company with users all around the world, including millions of Iranians—wanted to join the celebration and say: “Here’s to another trip around the sun!”

Our mission is to connect and empower people, and Nowruz epitomizes everything we stand for. Today, Iranians can be found in every corner of the globe, including here in the United States. Since the revolution in 1979, there are now around one million Iranian-Americans.

It all began back in 1618, when “Martin the Armenian,” an Iranian-Armenian tobacco grower, first settled in Jameson, Virginia. Since then, Iranian immigrants represent some of the country’s brightest minds, excelling in fields like business, academia, science, and arts. Iranians are, in fact, perhaps the most successful immigrant population in U.S. history.

NowruzWherever you’re celebrating Nowruz, we hope that you enjoy this time with family, share fond memories, and prepare for a new year that brings prosperity and health. Enjoy good food, long-lasting traditions, and wipe away the dust from another year gone by.

Each spring, Nowruz brings people together from every corner of the globe. It connects people—connects men, women, immigrants, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and anyone else that appreciates cultural moments and the impact a group of people has had—and will continue to have—on our world.

At Hotspot Shield, we’re here to connect people, to combat global censorship, to fight for those who struggle to be heard. But above all, on this day, we’re here to wish you prosperity and wellness in the new year. Nowruz Mobarak.
