Are you salivating in anticipation as you wait for the premiere of the sixth season of “Game of Thrones“? Whether you’ve been a fan of the show since its opening episode or have had to play catch-up over the years, you’re probably among the countless people who are brimming with excitement over the new season.

If you’re outside the United States when the show premieres, however, you might not be able to watch it until you’re back within US borders. Your friends could might even accidentally spoil it for you. But don’t worry — if you live outside the United States, or if you’ll be traveling when “Game of Thrones” comes back on the air, there is a way for you to keep up with your favorite show. You can do this by using Hotspot Shield’s free Chrome extension. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Step 1: Download the HBO Now App

If you don’t subscribe to HBO through a US local cable service, you’ll need to sign up for HBO Now. Fortunately, you can get a free 30-day trial. Which you need to sign up for on the HBO Now app.

To get the free trial, go to either the Apple Store or Google Play — depending on which kind of device you have. Depending on your location, you may need to switch your app store’s country so you can download US apps. (The process for switching an app store’s country is easy, and we’ve provided instructions for you. Click here to get the Apple Store instructions and here to get the Google Play ones.) After you sign up for HBO Now, you can watch the network’s programming on any of your devices or on any browser. However you’ll need to make sure you’re connecting from a US Virtual Location, which you can do easily and for free with the Hotspot Shield Chrome Extension.

Step 2: Upgrade Your Chrome

For years, the Hotspot Shield VPN app has been protecting and liberating all sorts of devices, from home PCs to tablets and smartphones. Chrome is the world’s most popular internet browser, so it only makes sense to bring the two things together.

To download Hotspot Shield’s Free Chrome Extension, head to the Chrome web store. This link will take you straight to the page for Hotspot Shield’s extension. In the upper right-hand corner of the screen, you’ll see a big blue button that says “add to Chrome.” A pop-up box will ask you to confirm that you want to install the extension, so you’ll have to click the button that says “Add extension”.

After you’ve installed the extension, open your web browser and turn on Hotspot Shield. You’ll see a new button at the top of your browser that will give you access to the extension. You’re now equipped to explore the web with all the benefits of Hotspot Shield. Your internet experience will be more secure than ever. Plus, you’ll have the added advantage of anonymity.

The extension will automatically connect you to a proxy server in the United States. Now, no matter where you are in the world, you’ll be able to access US-exclusive content — including content available through HBO Now, such as “Game of Thrones”.

Step 3: Enjoy!

After you have the Chrome extension and have signed up for HBO Now, you can sit back, relax, and binge on your favorite HBO programs, including “Game of Thrones.”

It is possible to use the regular Hotspot Shield VPN for your device so that you can change your virtual location to the United States, but you may also use our Chrome extension, which is absolutely free (no-ads) comes with unlimited browsing and is already equipped with a US virtual location. Up to you ?

Other Benefits of Hotspot Shield’s Chrome Extension

While the prospect of watching “Game of Thrones” in itself should be enough to convince you to add Hotspot Shield’s Chrome extension to your browser, there are plenty of other reasons to take advantage of the extension:

  • The extension is simple. It has a user-friendly interface so you won’t have to worry about overcoming technical barriers before watching your favorite television shows.
  • It will hide your browser activities, helping protect you from hackers and others who might want to steal your information. Your online traffic will also be encrypted, adding another vital layer of protection.
  • Other virtual locations besides the United States are available, so you’ll have more freedom to explore everything the internet offers regardless of what country you’re in. Some of the virtual locations you can choose from include Canada, France, and Sweden.
  • You’ll enjoy unlimited bandwidth without any ad — say goodbye to throttling!

Whether you’re traveling outside the country for business or pleasure — or live outside US borders — you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your favorite television shows. Hotspot Shield’s completely free Chrome extension, coupled with HBO Now, could be the entertainment solution you’ve always been searching for.

I don’t understand why the showrunners love to hide things from fans. I mean we are so desperate to get a single hint about Jon Snow’s fate but the whole production team is making it so tough. This might be their one of the tactics to retain curiosity among mad fans. Well we still have a hope that Jon Snow will return in Season 6 Premiere.
