I have two problems and don’t know if there are 2 or 1 solution to them – I need a local US phone number – free calls to and back, and I also need a US ip address, so I can watch all the great stuff I’m being prevented from now – Don’t know if I need a static ip or not or what the difference is, but I heard that can slow down your service, which makes sense if it’s being routed through an additional server.

      Hi Bill,
“I need a local US Phone number” => Have you tried to use Skype? You can buy Skype credits and then make very cheap calls anywhere in the world, you can even set up a phone number. There is also Vonage that offers unlimited calling to US for a monthly subscription, not sure if that can work better for you or not. It also depends on the quantity of calls and duration that you may have to do.
“I need a US IP address” => Hotspot Shield can definitely help you get one. Either with the free version (Ads-supported), you’ll automatically be assigned a US IP address or with Hotspot Shield Elite version, and in this case you’ll benefit from an ad-free experience, the choice between 9 virtual locations (US being one of them) and unlimited access to your favorite content.
      Hope this helps!
